Burn the ladder is a folk musician bearing a sharp tongue and a big heart. She combines the rich story-telling tradition of folk music with the wit and sensibilities of a protest singer in a bitter-sweet catalog of hope, sorrow, joy and fury.
Burn the Ladder is the stage name of Georgia Bell, a queer solo artist based in South Wales. Originally from London, she chose Wales for the mountains, the trees, and the wonderful creative people carpeting the landscape. Her music emphasises open and direct lyrics; whether they are talking about painful personal moments or her opposition to right-wing politicians, there is very little space between the artist, the art, and the audience.Instagram: @burntheladder

Mae Burn the Ladder yn gerddor gwerin efo yn tafod miniog a chalon fawr. Mae hi’n cyfuno traddodiad werin o adrodd straeon cyfoethog gyda ffraethineb a synwyrusrwydd cantores brotest mewn catalog chwerw-felys o obaith, tristwch, llawenydd a chynddaredd.
Burn the Ladder yw enw llwyfan Georgia Bell, artist unigol cwiar sydd wedi’i lleoli yn Ne Cymru. Yn wreiddiol o Lundain, dewisodd Gymru ar gyfer y mynyddoedd, y coed, a’r bobl greadigol ryfeddol sy’n carpedu’r dirwedd. Mae ei cherddoriaeth yn pwysleisio geiriau agored ac gonest; boed yn sôn am eiliadau personol poenus neu ei gwrthwynebiad i wleidyddion asgell dde, ychydig iawn o le sydd rhwng yr artist, y gelfyddyd, a’r gynulleidfa. -
Spud Bugs are currently based out of Cortland in Central NY [united states] they are a transient folk punk band with travelers rotating in and out of the line up. They carry a sound resembling u.s folk punk of the early 2000's, raspy, crusty, complex, fast & loud.

Julie Murphy ( voice ) and Ceri Rhys Matthews ( flute ) are founder members of groundbreaking Welsh folk group fernhill. Together they perform traditional songs and dance tunes from Wales and beyond, with particular emphasis on the music and poetry of West Wales.
Julie Murphy is regarded internationally as one of Britain's finest folk singers. Her remarkable voice, spectrally beautiful one moment and darkly rich the next, has led to collaborations with music legends like John Cale, Robert Plant and Danny Thompson.
Ceri Rhys Matthews is an artist, fine, fine flute player and central figure in the celebration and sharing of the traditional music of Wales, both through performances and through the annual winter and summer tune schools he runs in Llandysul, Carmarthenshire and Tremarchog, Pembrokeshire.____________

Mae Ceri Rhys Matthews yn artist, yn chwaraewr ffliwt cain ac yn ffigwr canolog yn y dathlu a rhannu cerddoriaeth draddodiadol Cymru, trwy berfformiadau a thrwy’r ysgolion alaw gaeaf a haf blynyddol y mae’n eu rhedeg yn Llandysul, Sir Gaerfyrddin a Thremarchog, Sir Benfro. -
Ivy Hughes-Dennis is a ranting anarchist comedy folk musician (and she promises that’s not as bad as it sounds). She’s toured folk, punk, and stand up circuits around Europe for over a decade, playing short sarcastic kick-in-the-teeth bangers, and having supported cult icons like Jon Richardson, Grace Petrie, and Crywank. As punk poet titan Attila the Stockbroker put it, she is “the only person to make the ukulele not entirely shit”. High praise.

Mae Ivy Hughes-Dennis yn gerddor gwerin comedi anarchaidd rhemp (ac mae’n addo nad ydy hynny cynddrwg â'r disgwyl). Mae hi wedi bod ar daith ymysg cylchoedd gwerin, pync a chomedi o amgylch Ewrop ers dros ddegawd. A hithau yn chwarae cerddoriaeth fachog sarcastig byr sydd â dipyn o gic, ac wedi cefnogi eiconau â dilyniant cwlt fel Jon Richardson, Grace Petrie, a Crywank. Fel y dywedodd y cawr o fardd pync, Attila the Stockbroker, hi ydy’r “unig berson i wneud i'r iwcalili beidio swnio'n hollol shit”. Dyna i chi ganmoliaeth.
